Steamworld heist queen8/30/2023 ![]() ![]() (Everyone keeps comparing Heist to XCOM, which I have never played, so that is now on my playlist) but I didn't expect the 2D side-scrolling shooter mechanic to work as fluently and easy as it does. Heist was a mixed bag for me to start with, I love a good RPG with turn-based combat (and thrown in strategy elements in party composition etc). So many routes down and ways to make your own path (sections, platforms, big caves, singular mineshaft down the middle with side paths, trying to see how far I can dig with no upgrades etc) Dig's random replayability keep me hooked for months (and I still play it frequently). that covers the adventure, platform, action genres pretty well. Then you covered my 2nd favorite genre with a Metroidvania game. Tower Defense was obviously a Tower Defense title (and what first drew me to you, I got hooked playing Viking Invasion and Starship Patrol and a friend suggested your game for a similar experience.). What genre would you like us to choose next? I bought the soundtrack twice already as I'm simply loving it to death. That is simply amazing! Happy you get so much joy out of the game. Whatever direction you go from here it will be a game I'll likely buy, even if its not a genre I like !! I'm also looking forward to the next venture from Image & Form. I really hope some more DLC is released, there are so many characters you could put in this game. I am in love with this game (and that soundtrack! Yeah I brought the album from SPG :) ) I use/recycle the third slot for experimentation/team builds/hat hunting (when I find a new hat, I note what mission and head on over to my main save to get it to show up). Immortalized, I'm scared to touch it in case I fail a mission and forget what save I'm on. My second slot is my "perfect elite" run. ![]() I've lost count of how many black holes it's been through (Although I still have the 1st postcard :) ). My "main" 3DS save file has gone past 100 hours, I use it as my "hat warehouse".
